Conferences
Attending conferences has allowed me to engage with the broader astronomy and instrumentation community while sharing my research. My first research conference was the 241st American Astronomical Society (AAS) meeting in Seattle, where the FB2 team presented the status of our preparation for the 2023 flight campaign. This experience, coupled with attending poster sessions and talks, inspired me to present my own work. That opportunity came at SPIE Optics + Photonics 2023 in San Diego, where I showcased my contributions to the FB2 In-Flight Wavelength and Flux Calibration System. I also presented my research on CHaS at the 243rd AAS meeting in New Orleans. Additionally, I was selected to attend the APS Women in Physics conference, where I shared my experiences as an undergraduate researcher on the multinational stratospheric balloon mission FIREBall-2. Later, I was nominated and selected to participate in FUTURE at Caltech, which allowed me to connect with peers and fellow women in STEM from around the world. This year, I am thrilled to give a talk at AAS 245 on my paper, Investigating High-Dispersion HII Regions in the Disk of NGC 7331 with CHaS.
