CCD work
I have contributed to the development of test setups for the characterization of UV detectors, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of instrumentation tasks. I was trained to operate the monochromator single-handedly for various setups. Working in a cleanroom, I undertook responsibilities such as operating roughing and turbo pumps, purging and connecting detector setups, goniometer grating test setups, cameras such as low-noise CCD camera PIXIS, Super-LOTIS, and more. I assisted in conducting EMCCD tests using an experimental pipeline code, aided Quantum Efficiency tests across various wavelengths, and helped interpret the resulting data. In the dewar setup, I played a critical role in tasks such as taking apart and cleaning the cryocooler system following a dual cryo-nitrogen cooling system failure, installing a new AVC cryocooling system, assembling the detector into the detector bed in the dewar, installing sensors, and fine-tuning the PID controller. These experiences honed my technical skills and deepened my understanding of UV detector characterization and instrumentation.
